Well Robert, I guess your pretty picky with what you consider a robot. I guess you can also with that line of thinking eliminate all articles relating to R/C Sumo (human controlled), RoboONE (human controlled), Robot Combat (really just armored R/C cars), or for that matter any artifact that is claimed to be a “robot” that doesn’t have some kind of external sensor or preprogrammed intelligence.

I for one have a pretty open mind as to what can be considered robotic. This device is doing what a much larger warehouse robot would do.

Volume 33 of the magazine was just released to bookstores here a couple days ago. They usually show up on Amazon Japan not too long after the release date.

I see the price of the robot (probably the price it cost to gather the parts and softwares, though), and 150 Man Yen is 15000 euros. It’s actually very cheap for a full sized humanoid, which usually cost over 100’000Euros.

Also, please tell us where we can buy the Gakken magazine. I’ll try online to see.

I met the guy at IREX last year. This is really cool, and they paid attention to make it as easy as possible for the shop to use it. Like the main body is actually the same as standard mannequins.

I really hope we’ll start to see these things in trendy shops this year, and make main stream in the next few years to see your clothes moving when shopping.
