World Maker Faire 2013: Concept Forge Wally 3D Printer (Video)

Here's a robot video that I found interesting:



Concept Forge demonstrated their unique 3D printer design - Wally - that uses SCARA/Pantagraph linkages to control the print head location. The linkages, driven by stepper motors, utilize high test fishing line type cables that they feel will be extremely repeatable and should operate for years without adjustment or slippage.
