Here's a robot video that I found interesting:

MORE INFORMATION makerbot.com/robohand robohand.blogspot.com MAKE A ROBOHAND thingiverse.com/thing:44150 SUPPORT ROBOHAND Indiegogo.com/projects/robohand When Richard Van As, a woodworker in South Africa, decided to make a set of mechanical fingers, it wasn't just for fun. He'd lost four of the fingers on his right hand in an unfortunate work accident. For a carpenter, a disabled hand is a big professional risk, so Richard decided on the day of the incident that he would use the tools available to him to remedy his situation. Watch the inspiring video above to hear how Richard's project, Robohand, is changing lives with patience, spirit, and a MakerBot Replicator 2. That is by far the best story/video that Ive ever seen.Richard, you are an inspiration to us all and what you have done for those children there are no words for other than amazing.Im building a lifesize animatronic for a project Im developing and had a set of animatronic hands 3d printed from files on Inmoov thingiverse by Hairygael. When Im finished with my project I would like to explore making low cost prostetics for children including arm, hand and fingers and you have begun the process and succeeded greatly.Icommend you and keep up the great work.
