Maker Faire Tokyo 2012 – Animating Toy Characters (Video)

Creating character and figure sculptures can be rewarding in itself, but adding movement and animation takes it to another level. The artistry exhibited at this particular booth during Maker Faire Tokyo 2012 was intriguing, and the character movement made the figures truly engaging for people of all ages. Two really striking works were the swimming fish fabricated from electronics and servos enclosed in wetsuit fabric decorated like Nemo, and the stroboscopic figure animation.
