Chicago Area Robotics League Makes Stage Play Possible (Video)


The Chicago Area Robotics League, more commonly known as “Chibots” created ten custom robots for the Sideshow Theatre Company production of “Heddatron” a futuristic fantasy that takes some cues from Henrik Ibsen's “Hedda Gabler.”

According to a detailed article in the New York Times, members of the robot club designed, built, and tested the robots for the show, and operate five of the larger robots from behind the scenes. It's a great example of how a local volunteer group like Chibots can get actively and creatively involved while pooling their skills and talents to please and delight the local community.
