AlphaOne Labs Rocks!

We had a great time last night at the AlphaOne Labs hackerspace in Brooklyn exploring robotics, RepRap 3D printers, laser cutters, iPhone hacks, and even at attempt at mounting an iPhone on an industrial grade power tool to create a real time 3D display (more on that later).

AlphaOne is totally awesome, especially the people. Their knowledge, experience, and openness was pretty amazing, and totally refreshing. So much so that we're trying to rearrange our schedule for this evening to head back there again for a repeat performance. If you happen to be in Brooklyn, or anywhere around NYC tonight (August 31, 2010), come on over and join the fun.

We highly recommend it, no matter what area of hacking/creating/making turns you on.
