18th ROBO-ONE Competition in Two Weeks

Participation in the Fall ROBO-ONE competitions often tends to be lower since they are 'away' games, often held in remote locations to motivate and inspire regional students and robot fans to become actively involved.

With the 18th ROBO-ONE event just two weeks away, it looks like this time will be no exception. This time the people of Shibata, about 3 hours north of Tokyo by Shinkansen (Bullet Train), will be treated to the world's top humanoid robot experience. As of midnight last night there were 49 official entries, less than half the number the Spring competition in Tokyo draws. Nevertheless, it looks like it will be another exciting, and surprising, event.
