Combining Ancient Tradition With Modern Robots

Practicing a unique blend of Buddhism and Shinto that gives a timeless and eternal aspect to everything they do, the Japanese often add more modern touches to what used to be more religious ceremonies and festivals. A good example is yesterday's Shinto Fire Festival in Gifu that merged a traditional portable shrine with a Gundam figure shooting fireworks high into the night sky.
