The best robots sometimes don't make it to market (Video)

Jvc robot
Six years ago, Japan Victor Company (JVC) was showing off an amazing small bipedal robot named “J4” developed based on their unique motor and electronics technology. Unfortunately the top JVC management felt that J4 didn’t have sufficient market potential and would be a diversion to their long term strategic plan, so the robot was never commercialized. Nevertheless, the robots designer still actively demonstrates J4 to educate and inspire budding robot enthusiasts and future engineers here.
