At the start of every new year Japanese stores, especially major department stores, go over the top with special sales promotions. The rapidly approaching New Years holiday is no exception. One of the country’s biggest retail operators, Sogo & Seibu Co. just announced a special holdiay sales event featuring live size, functional, humanoid robots designed to accurately replicate their lucky owners.

The holiday androids are being manufactured by Kokoro, famous for their realistic robots, and will be priced at 20.1 million yen each.
