ROBO-ONE Champions show off their dancing skills in Brazil (Video)

It took a long time for the ROBO-ONE moment to gain momentum, especially outside of Japan. As fascinating as the ROBO-ONE humanoid robots are, the level of expertise necessary to to master their design was beyond the average hobby robot fan, and the first kits, like the original Kondo KHR-1 robot, required a considerable degree of assembly, alignment, electronics, sensors, and programming mastery just to get them standing up straight and taking a few faltering steps.
Now, roughly eight years later, ROBO-ONE has captured the attention of the public world-wide, and has become an important centerpiece for any major robot event. For example, last week ROBO-ONE champions Toko Toko Maru and Afruro delighted crowds at the ROBOTECFAIR2009 in Curitiba, Brazil.
