Most industrial robot applications are intended to assembe huge volumes of the same consumer product, hour after hour, day after day, ad infinitum. A new Boston area high-tech start-up, named ARTAIC, has turned that metaphor completely upside down by using a large pick and place industrial robot to produce stunning, one of a kind, mosiac artworks.
