Looking For A Video Cam In AKIBA

Wandering around Akihabara trying to locate a good, cheap, camera to mount on robots and my cycling helmet.

They are surprisingly scarce. All the shops seem to have is gear for undercover surveillance and they are 2X-3X the U.S. prices.





There are tons of choices if price is no object, and you don't mind a square or rectangular form factor. I found one so far that would have been almost perfect - round mount, over 2 hours recording per charge, ultra-light, USB interface... But the resolution was only 2 megapixels.

We'll keep on hunting for a while longer...
