Most people know ROBO-ONE because of the humanoid robot boxing/wrestling matches that draw most of the press, and public, attention, but there are many other aspects to the ROBO-ONE movement here.

One that we’re particularly interested in is the domestic helper robot initiative where robot builders compete to design and implement bipedal robots that can actually perform useful functions around the home.

It may not be as flashy or adrenaline pumping as the robot battles, but in the long term the spin-offs from this type of competition will deliver a real service to mankind.
