Crab Robots Get Even More Interesting (Video)
We mentioned the cute, and inexpensive, robot crab kits from 1Sorc a while ago, and even put some of them on order. While we were waiting for our robot kit to arrive, a new video below featuring the nimble little creatures popped up on Youtube. Now we’re even more excited, if that’s possible.
One of the simple tricks they used to dramatically increase the ‘cute factor’ was modifying a set of earbuds to include LEDs. They make the crab robots look like they just ambled out of a “Nemo” or “Little Mermaid” movie.
Note: Although the earbud based crab eyes aren’t part of the stock robot kit, they should be easy enough for most robot builders to hack together.
