Going the Murata Boy Robot One Better (Video)

murata_girl_robot

Taking their inspiration from the famous 'Murata Boy' robot that rides a bicycle, these craftsmen created a cool cycling female character right out of anime. Check out the video below that features one of the Murata Boy television commercials followed by a detailed, step-by-step documentary covering the construction of their robot clone. Sorry, it's not in English, but you should be able to follow the action easily anyway.

  1. Wow! I wish ppl would pay attention to detail like this video has with the character…nice work and I heard some armored core music playing too.

  2. The pedalling movement on the legs looks fantastic!

Cool! I like that the figure isn’t firmly secured to the seat, because it allows it to rock side to side a little as it pedals. That makes the movements look really great!
