A Little Early for a Robot ChristmasAlthough some of our friends would disagree, September is a little early to start thinking about robot Christmas gifts. Nevertheless, we're seeing some strong evidence that many of our regular readers are doing exactly that. According to the statistics that we track, robot related sales have already started their seasonal ramp as people start to purchase gifts for their favorite robot geek .
Strong sales have been reported for robot items as diverse as the Tomy I-SOBOT, Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots, the Erector Spykee robot; books like Hacking Roomba, Robot Building for Beginners, and Create Your Own Robot (a sticker activity book for youngsters); and even robot t-shirts.
There are even some products that are already sold-out for pre-orders, like Elmo Live which is reportedly being listed online for as much as $100 over the manufacturer's suggested list price.
