RoboGames 2008: Day Two
Okay, some of our regular readers are going to immediately ask, "What happened to Day One???" Well, we're going to blame that on a certain Mr. Gates and his WinDoze creation. Our laptop PC suddenly decided, right after an automatic OS update, that everytime we wanted to upload a jpg file it would present us with a beautiful, bright "Blue Screen of Death"....
Never fear. We have tons of content - photos, videos, slow motion videos (300 fps stuff that is unbelievable), interviews, and much, much more. As soon as we get connected up the reports will start flowing.
In the meantime, our trusted robot friend and colleague, John Coffman, was kind enough to submit this summary of today's humanoid competitions:
"OK the rounds ares over for the day: lt. wt. div. robophilo vs.nova prime, w for robophilo.mecca kong vs.boomer, w for mecca kong. issac vs. kugai, w for issac.RN-! vs isobot w for RN-! 2cd round, robophilo vs. mecca kong, w for robophilo. issac vs. RN-! w for RN-! nova prime vs. boomer w for boomer, kugai vs. isobot w for isobot. mid. wt. div. As you can tell, there are almost double the number of humanoids participating this year compared to 2007, and the performance has improved dramatically.
