New Robot/Cyborg Movie to Debut
It probably won't make it into general distribution overseas, but here in Japan we're about to be treated to a new robot love story movie titled, "My Girlfriend - Cyborg". Scheduled to hit the movie theaters on May 31st, you can be sure we'll be buying tickets.
The plot seems to be exactly what you would expect. Boy meets Cyborg. Lots of funny incidents and miscommunication. Boy falls in love with Cyborg. Massive earthquake destroys Tokyo....
The official website (link above) includes the movie trailer automatically playing on the initial page. It's worth spending a few minutes to view, though we have to say that the actress portraying the Cyborg comes across as very human and lifelike, to the point that it's a bit distracting.
