Living here in Japan we've become totally addicted to the arcade machines called UFO Catchers. There are several big arcades on the shopping streets near our office, so any loose 100 yen coins we happen to have jingling around in our pockets at the end of the work day may quickly end up as fodder for one of the UFO Catcher machines.
Up until now, the machines have been pretty basic - three buttons and an overhead crane apparatus that you try to use to pickup some neat gift and drop it into the delivery chute. It turns out that some unknown company has been working on a robotic replacement, and somehow a video happened to find its way to YouTube (see below).
