We're headed out the door in a few minutes to catch the local train into Tokyo, and then the Shinkansen (Bullet Train) down to Nagoya for the week. In addition to all the normal 'tourist' sights, like Nagoya Castle and Atsuta Shrine, we have a few more unusual spots to visit on our agenda, including Meiji Mura - a fascinating look into Japanese life and architecture as it was during and after the Meiji Restoration period.
Of course, we're going to sneak in several robot related stops. It will be our first chance to visit the new Robot Museum that opened a few months ago in Nagoya. There are also two interesting venues with exhibits of Karakuri dolls - the forerunners of todays robots. And a couple of other surprising stops that we can't disclose quite yet.
We've been promised good internet access, but who knows. Hopefully we'll be able to log on daily and update Robots Dreams as our adventures unfold.
