As we mentioned a few posts back, last Saturday we had the great pleasure of attending the Kanto Regional Finals for the All Japan Robot Sumo competitions. Since we've already talked a lot about how Robot Sumo is played here in Japan, and interviewed some of the top officials (see links below), we won't repeat all the information here.
Instead we just want to show you some of the video clips we took of the action, and let them speak for themselves.
This particular video features some of the autonomous robot matches that took place early in the day. A large percentage of the teams (more than half) are from technical high schools located in the Kanto region.
In later posts we'll show you some of the "RC" class robot bouts. We put "RC" in quotes because many of the robots that compete in this classification are loaded with sensors and autonomous ability. After that, we'll post some additional video featuring a couple of the top competitors in their final face-offs of the day.
If you have any questions, or would like more information, please post a comment or submit the inquiry form via the link at the top of the page. We'll try to get back to you quickly.
