Tickle Me Elmo TMX Hits The Stores (Video)

Robot
We don't want our readers to get bored by all the ROBO-ONE posts recently, so we thought we would briefly change the subject to the new Tickle Me Elmo TMX toy that's just hit the store shelves - at least in the U.S.

This Elmo is definitely going to be one of the hottest, best selling, 'must have' presents for the coming holiday season (see video below). And, in our humble opinion, it's going to be extremely popular with folks that love disassemblying and modding toys to see what they can create. Assuming that the hackers can get their hands on some, we should start seeing mod reports showing up online within the next few days or so.

In many ways, it reminds us a lot of one of our grandfathers who always loved a good belly laugh. Once he got started it was almost impossible to get him stopped. At least with Elmo you have the option of removing his batteries if the laughter and hi-jinks become too irritating.

If anyone does do a disassembly and/or hack, please let us know about it using the form at the top of the page. We'd love to hear what you find, and might consider reporting about it here on Robots Dreams.

Comments:

In the video, I noticed that Elmo kept making himself fall forward. I don't think that is supposed to happen. Ours falls back, and it looks a lot more natural.
