Turtle Robot Designed By KAZZ Performs At Wireless Japan

We've been following the posts on KAZZ's weblog recently trying to figure out exactly his newest robot creation would be. Now the secret's out. Moriyama-san, our favorite science and technology reporter, discovered KAZZ demonstrating his 'turtle robo' at the Wireless Japan trade show taking place at the Big Sight convention center in Tokyo.

According to Moriyama-san's report for Robot Watch, the new robot was built as a technology demonstration to illustrate one possible application for the Silex company's products. It has 8 DOF that enable it to walk around like a turtle, uses the Kondo RCB-1 controller, and features an onboard video camera for surveillance use. The report includes several detailed photos, background information, and a short video of the robot in motion.
