Robot School & Festival For Elementary School Students

To commemorate their 60th anniversary, and to demonstrate their belief that next generation robotics will lead the future for the Kansai area of Japan, The Kansai Economic Federation is staging a robot school and festival for 60 elementary school students in the 4th through 6th grades living in the area. Applications are being accepted until July 17th, and participants will be selected by lottery from the applications. Each student and one parent or guardian will participate in the robot school sessions held on two weekends in August and September, followed by a pre-contest event in mid-October and the final festival/contest on Sunday, October 29th. The teaching materials include the Robovie-i robot kit from ATR-Robotics.
