Taking Your Robot For A Walk (Video)
Sometimes you capture something out of the corner of your eye, look a little closer, and can’t really believe what you’re seeing. I felt that way over and over again at the IREX-2005 robotics show in Tokyo this week. Especially when . . .
I was walking along, trying to make my way through the crowds, when suddenly I heard a rythmic noise, kind of like the patter of little robot feet. I looked around to see where it was coming from, only to find a young Japanese robot researcher had decided to take his dog out for a walk-
This is not your normal Robopet or Aibo. It’s totally unique and custom designed. And, it follows its master around, even through crowds, and with sudden turns, stops and starts.
