So, what do ‘Cannon Balls’, ‘Power Boats’, ‘Lodestones’, ‘Conquerors’, and ‘Mission Mars’ have in common?
They’re the major events scheduled for Robotix, a national level robotics competition organized by the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur. Robotix is scheduled for February 4th-6th, 2005 on the institute’s campus.
All the rules and background for the games have links on the Robotix website. Cannon Balls is a type of robot basketball; Power Boats is a Stuart Little type speedboat race; Lodestones is a ‘find the needle in the haystack’ competition; while Mission Mars and Conquerors involve using soft-bots and AI to explore unknown areas.
